Two weeks after my YouTube channel had reached enough “Channel history”, it has now lost it again. YouTube decided to limit my channel once again.
According to YouTube, they do this to “keep YouTube safe”, they limit accounts that do not have enough channel history (Or are not verified). According to them my channel does not have enough channel history (After i build that up two times before.)
This can also happen if you do not follow Community guidelines. There are no community guideline strikes on my channel, no issues on any of my videos, no warnings, nothing. Yet YouTube strikes my channel again, for the third time..
My channel is an 18 year old account, an official artist channel, without any issues.
According to YouTube, to restore my channel I can:
- Build up channel history by following guidelines. (Which i have already done twice now!!)
- Do a video, or ID verification to restore my channel faster. (I am absolutely convinced this is why they do this: They want your ID. The ridiculous thing is, I pay for YouTube Premium. They have my creditcard info, so they know who I am.)
Every time I build up enough channel history, they strike my channel again. They don’t only limit my channel, they also shadowban my channel (every time this happened views on my channel dropped 90-98% right before I received the email.)
If YouTube thinks they can bully and harras me into giving up my ID, they are wrong. I know they don’t care about small creators like me and unless you are a big creator, or have a big enough following to raise some hell on places like X (they definitely don’t respond on Instagram), nothing will change.
I know this is an automated AI system and no human ever sees this shit, but I consider this harassment of small creators and I will not stand for it.
Three time’s a charm? I don’t think so. I am done posting videos to YouTube! They can stick my “Official Artist Channel” up their …
As a result, I have removed all of my videos from public view.
My official artist channel is not monetized, I created these videos because I enjoyed creating the lyric videos and running my channel, however having to deal with this bullshit, that “fun” is now totally gone. This shit has been going on for 5 months now and enough is enough.
The only videos now visible are the “topic” videos, that i have no control over, automatically created by YouTube Music & my publisher, while I made my own (uploaded) videos no longer available. I guess that’s the way YouTube wants this..
If nothing changes on YouTube’s end, I might end up deleting all of my content. I have already deleted links to my YouTube channel on all of my social media, this is not a platform I want to promote or endorse in any way.
